Terms and Conditions
OneWig OneSmile will provide:
• One Human Hair Wig for women of all races, and black/afro Caribbean children age 15 and above suffering from medical hair loss, free of charge.
• Our wigs can be supplied to suit Black Asian and Minority Ethnic styles & culture, a rare service offered within not-for-profit organisations in the UK. We believe that suitable wigs should be offered regardless of race, in order for the recipient to feel as natural as possible during a potentially difficult time. This requires access to a range of darker colours, and the option of hand tied cornrow or single plaits to give a unique choice of style. Our braided wigs are all made with 80% Human Hair, with added hair extensions, which are very light & comfortable to wear.
. Our human hair bundles are made into wigs by UK NHS registered wig makers
• Our braided/cornrow wigs are processed by registered braided wig stylists in Nigeria in order to attain excellent quality of finish from experienced braiders whilst minimizing cost
• Manufacturers in Vietnam process our human hair bundles.
• Provision of a revamped human hair wig for women of all races where we run short of new hair wig or when a second request free wig support is received. This initiative will allow individuals who are perhaps unable to give financially, to offer assistance by means of donating a used but good condition wig -this is not a service we are currently offering but we will explore in the future for secong wig requests.
The donated wig will be cleaned & refurbished by registered salons within the United Kingdom, in order to become a suitable gift for the beneficiary. All donated wigs will need to be of a suitable standard to be eligible for use, so no guarantee of use or information on where your donated wig has gone, can be given.
OneWig OneSmile will not provide:
• OneWig OneSmile will not provide wigs to black/afro Caribbean children ages 0-15 due to health and safety risks
• Children & young people up to the age 24, can obtain free human hair wigs from an alternative UK charity, but these do not cater for black/afro Caribbean children styles such as braided wigs & corn-rows. This is the reason why we will not provide human hair wigs to children & young people up to the age 18 other than black/ afro Caribbean children in order to cover this segment of society
• We will not provide medical services/advice
• We will not provide a fitting service as part of our short term plan although we will consider this in our mid and long term strategy, we can recommend salons for fitting
